Police make burglary, cocaine arrests
On Thursday, February 1, 2018, members of Bloomington Police Department Street Crimes Unit and U.S. Marshal’s Task Force served an arrest warrant for a subject in the 900 block of North Main Street.
Johnny S. Jones, age 23, of Bloomington, was arrested for Residential Burglary from a recent burglary case in Bloomington, which was under investigation by BPD’s Criminal Investigations Division. Once Jones was taken into custody, officers observed evidence of drug distribution.
As a result of this investigation, Byronique D. Gardner, age 26, of Bloomington, was arrested for Manufacture/Delivery of 1-15 grams Cocaine, Possession up to 15 grams Controlled Substance, and Multiple Counts of Permitting Unlawful Use of a Building.
Members of BPD's Vice Unit and Street Crimes Unit served a search warrant at the same address. A Stolen Flat Screen Television, 2.8 Grams of Crack Cocaine (approximate street value of $200) $280 U.S. Currency Cannabis (user amounts), Prescription Bottle (not arrestee’s), and evidence of drug distribution were seized as evidence.
Jones and Gardner were transported to the McLean County Jail.
