William C. “Bud” Woodward, 92, Forrest, passed away at 12:40 am, Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Chenoa.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Burial will follow at South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Fairbury. Military rites will be accorded with the Forrest American Legion post. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service also at the memorial home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Family of William C. Woodward. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Woodward was born December 9, 1925, the son of Wesley and Caroline (Genzel) Woodward. He married Wanda L. Hedrick on March 16, 1953 in Jennings, MO. She preceded him in death on August 8, 2011.
He is survived by two daughters, Kristie Abromwitz, Las Vegas, NV., and Karla (Sam) Zimmerman, Fairbury; one son, Kyle (Patricia) Woodward, Roanoke. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He is also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters, and a daughter, Kim Nichols.
Bud served in the Navy during World War II and the Marines during the Korean War. He owned and operated the Sunoco Gas Station in Fairbury for many years.

David Lee Rosenbaum, 83, of Pontiac, formerly of Normal, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 3:25 a.m. at Evenglow Lodge in Pontiac.
His service will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Pontiac with Reverend Tom Goodell officiating. A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. at Mound Cemetery in Bradford, IL.
Visitation will be Friday, June 1, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.
David was born March 2, 1935 in Peoria, IL to Leo and Virginia (Hall) Rosenbaum. He married Phyllis Ewing in Bradford, IL in 1955. She passed away in 1993. David married Paula Trainor Lehmann in 1997. She survives in Pontiac.
Also surviving are his children, Alan (Helen) Rosenbaum of Wyoming, Douglas (Sandy) Rosenbaum of Normal, IL, George (Kathleen) Rosenbaum of Hudson, and Beth (Kevin) Hauskins of Chicago, IL; brother, Chuck (Joyce) Rosenbaum of Bradford, IL; and grandchildren, Cole and Chad Rosenbaum, Weston, Zachary, and Olivia Rosenbaum, Tanner and Marissa Rosenbaum, and Grant, Kyle, and Will Hauskins
He was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Phyllis.
David attended Bradford Grade School, graduated from Bradford High School, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Illinois State University. He was a Food Inspector for the State of Illinois until his retirement in 1999. He also taught science for three years at Roanoke-Benson Junior High School.
David was a past member of the Pontiac Elks Club and Pontiac Rotary. He liked to travel. His favorite trip was to Israel to see the sites of the Holy Land. He sponsored a foreign exchange student from Belgium. David liked to keep up with all the football games he could. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pontiac. He enjoyed his bible study groups.
