BPD announces St. Patrick's enforcement results

Six DUI arrests were made by Bloomington Police during the recent St. Patrick’s Day enforcement period.
Officers working the detail made an additional arrest for driving with a revoked license and issued nine speeding citations. One of those speeding was arrested for driving 87 in a 45 mile per hour zone.
“Although this campaign has ended, BPD remains committed to traffic safety, which is a quality-of-life matter we take seriously,” said Bloomington Chief Jamal Simington.
Bloomington Police joined forces with state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners in the St. Patrick’s Day enforcement campaign.
The safety effort was funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
