Normal PD makes child porn arrest

On January 19, 2022, David Fry, a 70-year-old male from Normal, was arrested for Possession of Child Pornography.

The arrest resulted from an investigation that began in September of 2020 with a cybertip to the Illinois Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Taskforce. Detectives from the Normal Police Department are members of the ICAC Taskforce.

During the investigation, search warrants were executed leading to the seizure of the arrestee’s electronic storage devices. Forensic examination of the devices determined they contained images of child pornography.

David Fry is currently being held at the McLean County Jail on the warrant issued as a result of this investigation.
