Two-vehicle crash results in injuries

One person was flown to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash shortly after 5:30 p.m. Monday south of Pontiac at U.S. Route 66 and County Road 1200 North.

State police say injuries were reported on the scene and the roadway was closed during the crash investigation, reopening at 10:45 p.m.

“The investigation is active and no further information is available,” said a synopsis released by ISP Troop 5 to Eye On Central Illinois.
